The KSA emphasizes that it will strengthen its monitoring measures and remind operators of their legal responsibilities.
New Measures to Combat Match-Fixing
The KSA plans to publish clear guidelines outlining expectations for betting operators and their compliance procedures. While the authority itself cannot conduct direct investigations into match-fixing, it does assess whether licensed operators are taking sufficient preventive measures.
A key tool in this effort is the Sports Betting Intelligence Unit (SBIU) of the KSA. This unit serves as a reporting center for suspicious betting activities and supports the authority in monitoring the integrity of the sports betting market in the Netherlands.
