Muscogee Nation Begins $69.8M Lake Eufaula Casino Project
The Essentials in Brief
The Muscogee Nation has officially commenced the construction of the $69.8 million Lake Eufaula Casino and Hotel in Eufaula, Oklahoma. This significant step marks the start of a project set to be completed in 17 months, with a planned opening in November 2025. The venture includes a casino, a 46-room hotel, a 90-seat restaurant, and a large parking lot.
A Look at the Project
The project spans 78,000 square feet and will feature a 20,500-square-foot casino housing 500 new slot machines and a Players Club. Additionally, a three-story hotel with 46 rooms, a fitness center, luxury suites, and a fully equipped restaurant with private dining options will be built. The hotel and casino will be connected by a generous passageway, allowing guests a seamless transition between the different areas. More than 600 parking spaces will be available to visitors.
Economic and Social Impacts
With the completion of the new building, the existing Creek Nation Casino will be replaced. The current employees will transition to the new facility, and an additional 50 full-time positions are expected to be created. Pat Crofts, CEO of Muscogee Nation Gaming Enterprises, and Andy Langston, the company’s COO, both emphasize the positive impacts of the project on tourism, local economy, and community. The creation of jobs and the stimulation of the local economy are at the forefront, with the aim of making Eufaula a draw for visitors while simultaneously strengthening community spirit.
Our Assessment
The Lake Eufaula Casino and Hotel promises to be a significant economic and social boost for the region. With its extensive gaming selection, high-quality accommodations, and commitment to the local community, the project sets new standards in the casino and hotel industry. The creation of new jobs and the promotion of tourism will not only invigorate the local economy but also contribute to the development and prosperity of the community. We look forward to the completion and the positive changes this project will bring to Eufaula and the Muscogee Nation.
